When your company does well, it's because of your loyal employees or some internal sales or marketing process that takes care of tracking sales or establishes constant contacts with leads. Your shipping department is efficient because your warehouse people have certain pre-determined steps they use because of their experience.
You take the blame for things that could be done better because you're tired, or bored or wanting to move on. The Good things need to be focused on your staff or process or market. One more time, with feeling, it's not about You.
Remember the buyer is trying to place themselves in your position. They want to manage people and processes, not try to wear your shoes. Everyone already knows no one can replace you, and sellers won't pay top dollar if they think they have to.
When you are trying to get the most money for your business, go in with the right mind-set, Bad things were my fault (and I'm getting out)...good things happen because of my team (and they will be working with you).
Approach all the hundreds of decisions with that mindset and you will have a comfortable seller that will pay top dollar and employees that will be flattered with your trust and will stay for the new owner. Now, make it about You in your next endeavor.
